"I started by blog almost 3 years ago. My inspiration comes from my beauty purchases and discoveries every month. La Vie en Blonde talks about the beauty likes and dislikes of an ordinary girl. And when I don't like, I'm not afraid to say it! I have loved cosmetics ever since I was a little girl. It comes from my two very stylish grandmothers with whom I used to share manicure sessions from the age of 3!
For me, the world of Helena Rubinstein is very chic, very confidential, a sort of private club that you really want to be part of.
I apply foundation every day (except on Sunday which is rest day for my skin!) as I have blemishes and small red patches. It is in fact often the only make-up I wear. I believe a pretty complexion is the bottom line! I hate applying it with my fingers so I use a brush which produces an even result. I apply a touch of foundation on the forehead, nose, each cheek and chin and then work it in. I always start with the centre of the face then stretch outwards where I often need less coverage.
A perfect complexion means an even complexion and not a frozen one. I hate powdery foundation; the complexion needs to look "alive". I like it when you can guess the skin texture, it's much more natural. That's what I like about Prodigy Powercell Foundation.
It conceals all my blemishes and redness without masking. The extra bonus? It must have a slight mattifying effect as my skin does not shine, a real bonus for my combination skin as it avoids me having to use too much powder. I'm not too concerned about the anti-ageing aspect for the time being, but I find my fine lines are less noticeable, especially when I smile. In short, it's got it all! "
