03.04 . For spotless skin 1st: what is it?
Winter can also bring something good! It's actually the ideal season to treat pigmentation problems and rediscover luminous skin.

What are the various types of pigmentation problems?
Chromatic ageing is one of the signs of ageing as much as the appearance of lines and slackening. Before choosing your treatment, start by identifying the problem! Because pigmentation problems do not necessarily mean brown spots.
  •  Redness

Caused particularly by sun exposure. Redness can develop following severe sunburn or repeated exposure to the sun. Redness is enhanced by local increase of skin temperature (e.g. after a spicy dish, an alcoholic drink, emotions).

  • Irregular complexion
This is due to thickening of the corneal layer of the skin, which becomes irregular even though the skin gets thinner overall. Skin cell separation slows down and dead cells flake off with more difficulty. This poor cohesion does not allow optimal light reflection and skin tone appears dull.

  • Brown spots
They are mainly caused by ultraviolet radiation following unprotected sun exposure and may be enhanced by low hormone activity due to age. Local overproduction of melanin ends up forming a patch on the skin surface. These spots are all the more visible from age 50 onwards, as the skin tends to become increasingly thinner.
